Storyhouse announce the cast for the The Wizard of Oz!

Storyhouse in Chester has announced the cast for The Wizard of Oz taking place at the multi-award-winning venue this Christmas.

Storyhouse’s artistic director Alex Clifton will direct the RSC production of the classic MGM motion picture.

Performing in the company will be:

Consuela Rolle as Dorothy – Remember, Remember (Other Palace Theatre); Into the Woods (Bernie Grant Theatre).
Ben Oliver as the Tin Man – Kiss me, Kate (UK & International tour); Annie (Piccadilly Theatre); Mary Poppins (UK Tour); Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Theatre Royal Drury Lane).
Natalie Woods as the Scarecrow – (West End Theatre: Horse in Wind In The Willows (London Palladium);  Agnes in Gypsy (Savoy Theatre)
Richard Colvin as the Lion – Sunshine on Leith (UK Tour); A Christmas Carol, Threepenny Opera, Singing in the Rain (Bolton Octagon)
Fergus Rattigan as the Wizard of Oz – Twelfth Night, A Winter’s Tale, All’s Well That Ends Well and Merry Wives of Windsor (Cambridge Shakespeare Festival); Ketch in Our Country’s Good, (Ramps on The Moon, national tour)
Kenny Thompson as Uncle Henry – Crowther in The History Boys (Royal National Theatre/national tour); La Paco in Chamaco (Home Manchester)
Natasha Bain as Aunt Em – Mrs Nordstrom in A Little Night Music and Tituba in The Crucible, Storyhouse) and Francisca in Wonder Girl (First Bites festival at The Oval House)
Zara Ramm as the Wicked Witch of the West – Bristol Old Vic: Pink Mist, Treasure Island, Beasts and Beauties)
Rory McNerney as the Jitterbug – West Side Story (Royal Albert Hall / BBC Proms)
Megan-Hollie Robertson as Nikko Commander of the Monkeys – Fredrika in A Little Night Music and Betty in The Crucible (Storyhouse).

The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, adapted by John Kane for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
