Whether you’re an emerging filmmaker, an experienced creative, or just starting out with a camera and an idea, Chester Filmmakers is a new free-to-join community group for anyone passionate about film and filmmaking.
Based at Storyhouse Cinema, Chester Filmmakers welcomes submissions from all abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels. Join us to screen your film, take part in relaxed, constructive conversations, and connect with a supportive network of storytellers.

We are only accepting films 20 minutes and under (works-in-progress are also welcome).

Filmmakers must be available to attend the screening to present their film and take part in post-screening discussions.

Submissions are accepted from Chester, Cheshire, and surrounding areas (including Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester, and North Wales).
- Filmmakers must be 18 or over.
