BFI Film Academy: opportunities for young creatives
If you’re 16 to 19 and want to learn about or work in film, BFI Film Academy is for you!
BFI Film Academy is a short film course aimed at those either wanting to take the first step in filmmaking or improve on existing skills.
These courses help train and inspire the next generation of UK filmmakers. No previous filmmaking experience is necessary.
On our BFI Film Academy Short Course, you will:
– work alongside industry professionals
– Work collaboratively in a creative team
– be offered hands-on filmmaking experience
– explore 360° filmmaking
– develop practical knowledge and skills
– work towards a silver arts award
– host a premiere event
BFI Film Academy Chester costs £25 to attend. If you think you will struggle to find this amount or might need assistance covering other associated course costs such as travel and childcare, please still apply – if your application is successful, we’ll make sure you can attend – there is a bursary fund to cover these costs where eligible.
